I finally learned that my computer is NOT possessed! I learned that autocorrect is NOT my friend and that the “horse and cowboy” are my new best friends.

This could be a good webquest to use at the beginning of the year to help kids understand the importance of history. What would be different had MLK not died? What would be different had Martin Luther not written the 95 Thesis?
Maybe I could do this at BOTH the beginning and end of the year, but see how differently students respon.
This is a neat webquest to have students journal about their “life” in a feudal society. Problem: many things are misspelled and the activity doesn’t seem very authentic.
This website could be very helpful for my European Exploration Unit. Here is an excerpt from the webquest’s intro page. It touches on very similar themes that I also teach.
“Important explorers, life at sea, dealing with pirates, encounters with different cultures, government, religion, exploring territory…etc. Based on the scoring rubric, the Captain will reward those who follow directions. Those who don’t follow orders shall walk the plank!!”
I really enjoyed looking at this webquest because it would force students to look at social networking sites from a different role, i.e. administrator, parent, online predator, etc. Using this site early in the year when we talk about laptop usage and proper-use expectations.
This webquest could be a very valuable teaching tool because it gives the child ownership. The student gets to decide what type of final project/assessment they want to create. The teacher then has them exhibit their final project at a school-wide exhibition. Problem: spelling is a bit rough, hasn’t been updated lately.
Mrs. Conway’s Practice Webquest
She is playing with a free webquest template to design a webquest about Medieval Feudal hierarchies.

2) like a really bad headache:
3) a World Series Win! (when you know what you’re doing)
4) never ending possibilities!

I am not a fan of question number 18! Unfortunately, the curse was reversed by beating the Cardinals. At least we had ‘06!
